Out of bed or in it?

Depression is a menace. I talk so frequently about depression and mental health because I understand that there are a lot of people around the world who might be suffering from this disease that slowly sits in their mind and starts to consume them. I’ve been at the receiving end of it for 6 months now. I just want everyone to know that all these hard days are temporary and that you will see the light some day.

There could be days when you cannot get out of bed. You might come across various inhibitions that tell you various things. I have a little piece of suggestion to give to you today. It might not work for all of us but I’ve got positive results after following these. If it helps you, please do let me know too. I hope you start to feel better.

  1. Hey, maybe be more positive with your wording saying depression is a “disease” is very negative. Diseases are physical depression is in the mind although I’m sure people feel depressed! A positive mental attitude is the biggest hope of cure! Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Iโ€™m sorry but no. I cannot agree to this. No offence to you but it is a disease and it has to be acknowledged like one. It is disease of the mind. Calling it anything other than that is pure ignorance. When you take it as a state of mind, you expect it to cure on itโ€™s own. It doesnโ€™t. Like any other physical disease, depression has to be treated by medical experts.

  2. You are so right in saying that there are so many people in the world that suffer with depression. It’s considered the plague of the 21st century. Unfortunate reality actually. For some, it’s simply a bio-physical problem, and can simply be treated with pharmaceuticals. For others though, it goes a lot deeper, and is a psychological disorder that needs, not only pharmaceuticals, but also regular phychological therapy.
    That’s great that you have given this list of ways to cope. A wonderful gesture to help those in need.

  3. hi! i have been absent for a loooong time from writing/blogging… it was depression and i kinda hit the rock bottom. but i am trying to lift myself up, in tiny steps. You have a great checklist here which would surely be helpful for a huge number of people. Well done.
